|Event: An Opportunity for the Locals to Explore Charleston, SC!
Are you a grand tour guide when your family and friends desend upon this beautiful place we call home? As much as I love Charleston, SC, (otherwise dubbed by me as,"Utopia") I have to admit, to my shame, I'm not much of a tour guide. I haven't I taken advantage of a lot of the rich history and great places that surround us! I could argue the cost would add up pretty quickly to visit all the attractions, but not in this case! Are you aware that you (and me for that matter) can be a tourist in our own town? Tickets are actually already on sale and this opportunity has been available to us for years - but this year I'm planning on taking advantage of it!
How does it work? Channel 2 News has made it so simple by sponsoring a great opporunity for all locals! Simply purchase a ticket online, at a visitor center located downtown Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, North Charleston or Kiawah or you can call 843-853-8000. The cost is $20 per person or $50 for a family of four (and the family of four doesn't have to be related - read more online) - not bad at all for 33 attractions and discounts at 24 resturants for the entire month of January! Order now, it takes 7-10 days to receive your pass in the mail! Hope you get out there, have fun and make some amazing memories with friends and family in this amazing city!
|News: 2010 Might Not be so "Lonely" in Charleston, SC. Hospitality is Our Specialty!
Well known, Lonely Planet tourism and travel guide has just name Charleston, SC a top destination for 2010! Had they asked any of us who actually live here, we could have told them that we agree. On a regular basis I'll be walking with a friend, stop by the water or to take in the beauty of this city and say to my friend, "We live here, you know we live here, we aren't visiting this beautiful city." The sound of agreement and gratitude is always echoed as we can often take for granted just how fortunate we are to call Charleston, SC home!
