I grew up moving around quite a bit, but I always considered Charleston home. My dad went to the Citadel and married my mom, a true Charleston girl. He was in the Army Corps of Engineers, so plans and scales were always lying around and my favorite uncle was a manager overseeing the construction of the old Cooper River Bridge. Going to work with him was always a treat, especially as he even let me steer the company tug boat under the bridge during construction. I was hooked!
Later we moved to Europe and the history and architecture were awesome. I loved touring through the palaces and castles and seeing the craftsmanship, all done with hand tools. It was always interesting to see how each palace was customized to reflect the king or queen's tastes and lifestyle. I guess that's what began my love for remodeling homes.
I met Steve several years ago while driving Prism Award judges for the Charleston Trident Home Builders Association and I was impressed with the quality and detailing of the Structures homes, as well as Steve's humble demeanor. That day I knew that if the opportunity ever materialized, I would love to work at Structures. As construction work slowed, I prayed for a position in a growing remodeling company, one that values integrity, quality craftsmanship, and lasting relationships. My prayers are definitely answered, I am very blessed to be here!
