Randy Reese

Born and raised in Hampstead, MD, I spent six years in the U.S. Coast Guard right out of high school.  During those years, I not only got to travel the world, but also honed my construction skills as a member of the Field Construction Force/DC Shop.  After working for the Coast Guard in California, Hawaii, Alaska, all over Asia, and many Loran stations on the Pacific Islands and coral atolls, I returned home and started my own custom building company.  But my travels and service to my country didn’t end there: I also joined the Maryland Air National Guard, which took me all over Europe as an A-10 Fighter Jet Crew Chief.  I graduated from the Air Force Leadership School in Hawaii, studied business management and leadership, and became very active in my local government and business community in Maryland before packing up the family and moving to Charleston in 1999.

I’ve spent most of my 20 years here in Charleston as a self-employed builder: framing, carpentry, remodeling, and spec building.  I worked with Structures for many years as a subcontractor before they finally convinced me to come on board as a full-time employee.  Now I feel like I’ve got the best of both worlds: I still get to do the hands-on, detail-oriented construction work that I love, but now I am part of the bigger team at Structures, a company whose values and passion for building high quality homes match my own.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, my four sons, and my grandchildren.
