Sara Koenig

Born in Charleston, WV, and raised in Charleston, SC, I can honestly say I am a legitimate “Charlestonian.” My father, a high-end custom home-builder, and my mother, an ASID Interior Designer, moved us from West Virginia to Kiawah Island when I was 8 years old. I can’t remember a time when my brother and I did not work in the family businesses, so I learned a lot about the construction industry at an early age. After graduating from Furman University with degrees in both Computer Science and French, I took a job as a Software Developer at the North American Corporate Headquarters for Michelin in Greenville, SC. I quickly realized that the corporate world was not a good fit for this daughter of two small business owners, and I moved back to Charleston to work with my father on a golf course development he was starting. This turned into a 16-year career in the high-end private golf club industry, where I gained experience in land development, club formation, membership sales, high-end customer service, and graphics design. I bring to Structures my home-grown knowledge of high-end building, but also my experience with high-end customer service and attention to detail. I am proud to be part of a team of people who have a strong ethic of excellence and integrity, and I am committed to paying attention to all the little details so that our clients don’t have to.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, travelling, sewing, knitting, or doing most anything crafty.
